Connectase Biotech
Bioconjugation shaping today's research and tomorrow's therapeutics.
Connectase Biotech is a spin-off from the Max Planck Institute for Biology Tuebingen. Its novel enzyme Connectase attaches drug payloads, labels and other molecules to proteins at defined sites. This next-generation, high-precision bioconjugation technology reaches near-quantitative yield under mild conditions in a single step. The team supports development of biotherapeutics, including antibody-drug conjugates, and develops research kits for bioconjugation, detection and immobilization.
Founded: Planned Q1 2027 (commercial register entry).
Vision of Connectase Biotech:
“Our founding team will bring Connectase to where it can make a difference: as a precise molecular connector for tomorrow's targeted therapeutics and as a bioconjugation tool for today's research. MAxL puts us in the middle of the Munich biotech ecosystem, close to pharma, investors and fellow founding teams.”
